Seton Ridge development update

Pre-blast inspections for homes in Clayton Park and Rockingham are underway for the Seton Ridge development located on the former Sisters of Charity Motherhouse site near Mount Saint Vincent University.

Southwest Properties has said they will be mailing out an update to neighbours in the next few weeks about the development.

In preparation for further progress, the developer intends to construct an access road linking Seton Road to Lacewood Drive (near Briarwood Crescent). This road will be reserved exclusively for construction vehicles and will not accommodate general traffic.

Seton Ridge will be made up of both multiunit and single-family housing units along with commercial spaces. A community centre was included as part of the proposal. Its ownership and responsibility with regard to programming has yet to be determined. Construction is estimated to span at least five years, ultimately providing homes for approximately 7,000 residents.
