Your January Constituency Update from Patricia

A NOTE FROM PATRICIA

Your Fairview-Clayton Park Monthly Update

Happy New Year Everyone,

It’s impossible to sit down to write without my mind turning to the ongoing Omicron wave. My heart goes out to the families in Nova Scotia who have lost a loved one because of the increase in cases. Everyone in our community has been impacted by this, whether you’ve had to make hard decisions about going to school or work, you or a loved one has been sick, your business has suffered, or by not being able to see loved your ones, I’m thinking of you.

Despite the continuation of the pandemic, I think we have a lot to look forward to this year. I’m excited to see what people in our community create in 2022 – whether it’s art, a new business, or a great community experience. I’m looking forward to the Fairview Farmers Market coming back, and I’m looking forward to having many meals at the restaurants in our community – I’m looking at you Easy Street cheeseburger. Most of all, I’m looking forward to the opportunities that will come this year to meet new people and make new memories, even if some are still only virtual ones. Let’s all work together in 2022 to build an even stronger community than we have now. Call your neighbours to make sure they’re okay this winter, call your loved ones frequently, and help out in your neighbourhood where you can. Together we can build connections that will outlast our current troubles.

Please reach out to my office if there’s anything we can do for you, or to share your thoughts on what you need from the Government. I’m here to represent your views, and I’m still working hard to connect with as many people as I can (virtually for now!) to make sure that your voice is heard.

Stay safe, stay positive, and be well,

Your MLA,

Patricia Arab
