Government Introduces New Grant Program to Help Reduce Poverty in Nova Scotia
Nova Scotians living in poverty will benefit from a new grant program for community-based organizations, and people on income assistance in Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM) will receive a free bus pass.
Increased Support for Day Programs for Nova Scotians with Disabilities
It will increase the total number of individuals served and will help remove barriers for people who could not access day programs in the past. Organizations are being encouraged to apply for grants to increase recreation, employment and day programming for persons with disabilities.
